In Karachay-Cherkessia, relatives of coronavirus-infected patients hold solo pickets

At least six persons took part in solo pickets held in front of a hospital in the Malokarachaevsky District. The protestors demanded to provide coronavirus-infected patients with medicines and medical care.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that by June 7, in Karachay-Cherkessia, one patient diagnosed with the coronavirus infection died over a day, and the COVID-19 death toll rose to eight. This is the lowest figure among the regions of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD). In total, 1580 cases of the coronavirus infection have been confirmed in the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR).

Today, several women whose relatives were diagnosed with the coronavirus infection have come to the building of the hospital in the Uchkeken village in the Malokarachaevsky District. In their hands, the protestors were holding posters reading: "Save the KChR", the "Club of Regions" reports.

According to the edition, in the morning, the women on protest wanted to meet the head doctor of the hospital, but did not get an appointment. The women complain that "they cannot pass coronavirus tests or get an appointment, since there are no doctors." The protestors demand to "send help from Moscow, build military field hospitals in the republic, and provide patients with medicines and medical care."
