Russian Public Prosecutor's Office sending its investigators into Litvinenko's case to Great Britain

The Russian Public Prosecutor's Office plans to send its investigators engaged in the case of the death of Alexander Litvinenko, ex-FSB employee, to Great Britain. An anonymous source at the Office told the Associated Press about it. In his words, it is not known when the trip will take place.

So far, the British police are inclined to conclude that polonium-210 that killed Litvinenko was added into the tea, a cup of which was in front of Litvinenko during his meeting with Andrei Lugovoj and Dmitri Kovtun at the Millenium London hotel on November 1.

The Daily Mail British newspaper writes that it was not necessary for Litvinenko even to drink the tea - inhaling the radioactively contaminated vapours could be enough for a heavy poisoning. The police also believe that the 7 employees of the hotel bar in whose bodies traces of isotope have been found got poisoned through the dishwashing machine, where Litvinenko's cup was rinsed. According to preliminary data, there is no contamination of the water supply system.

One cannot exclude that Litvinenko was poisoned twice, the "Echo Moskvy" broadcasts.

Meanwhile, interrogation of Mr. Lugovoj has been postponed, presumably till December 11. Inspectors from the Scotland Yard have already arrived to Moscow. Presently, Andrei Lugovoj is at hospital under examination. Doctors are looking for traces of radioactive infection in his organism.

We note here that traces of polonium were also detected in Room 441 of the Millennium London hotel - in Grosvenor Street - where Lugovoj resided, The Guardian reports. This room was used, under Scotland Yard's version, to prepare poison for Litvinenko.

It was reported earlier that Mr. Lugovoj was interrogated by Scotland Yard inspectors and officials of the State Offices of Public Prosecutor of Russia.
