Azerbaijan claims Armenia's serious military losses

More than 20 militaries, military equipment and infrastructure of Armenia fell under fire of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the number of victims of shootouts on July 12 and 13 on the Azerbaijani-Armenia border amounted to 13 persons. The Azerbaijani MoD has stated that the Armenian militaries had shelled the villages of Agdam and Dondar Guschu in the Tovuz District. Armenia reported shelling of the village of Chinari in the Tavush Region by Azerbaijani militaries.

On July 12, a fight occurred on the border of the Tovuz District of Azerbaijan and the Tavush Region of Armenia, in which three Azerbaijani soldiers perished and four others were wounded. On July 13, Baku reported new fights and the death of the fourth soldier.

The press service of the Azerbaijani MoD has specified that the blow was inflicted on the Tovuz border direction "in response to the shelling of the positions of the Azerbaijani Army and the border villages of Azerbaijan undertaken on July 12-13."
