Moscow threatens USA with retaliation for new sanctions against Kadyrov

Russia, although not in the mirror-like way, will respond to the new sanctions of the US State Department against Ramzan Kadyrov, Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), has stated. Kadyrov himself, in response to the imposition of sanctions, posted his photo with a weapon, inscribed that he was "accepting the fight."

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 20, the US State Department announced that sanctions were imposed against Ramzan Kadyrov in connection with human rights violations in Chechnya. The sanctions have also affected Kadyrov's wife Medni and his two daughters, Aishat and Khadizhat.

Maria Zakharova has commented on the information about new sanctions against Ramzan Kadyrov.

"It will be difficult to answer in a mirror-like way, but we'll think of something," Ms Zakharova said as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".

After the introduction of new sanctions against him by the USA, Ramzan Kadyrov posted a photo in his Telegram channel, where he is pictured with a weapon in his hands in the arms room.

"Pompeo, we're accepting the fight! It'll get more interesting!" Kadyrov wrote under the photo.
