Men detained after assassination attempt on Ibragim Eldjarkiev declared to be terrorists

Investigators have begun to bring charges under an article on terrorism against the persons detained in a case on an assassination attempt on Ibragim Eldjarkiev, the chief of the Ingush Centre for Combating Extremism (CCE, also known as Centre "E"), a source from the law enforcement bodies reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 17, it became known that Khidriev, a resident of the village of Ekazhevo, was detained on suspicion of involvement in the assassination attempt on Ibragim Eldjarkiev, the chief of the Ingush CCE, in January 2019.

Ibragim Eldjarkiev was shot dead in Moscow on November 2. His brother Akhmed Eldjarkiev, a doctor at a Moscow hospital, also fell victim to the attack. According to sources, the murder of Ibragim Eldjarkiev could be a result of blood feud amid his conflict with members of the Batal-Khadji community, one of which leaders, Ibragim Belkharoev, was killed in 2018.

The Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) brought a charge under an article on terrorism in a case against persons detained for the assassination attempt on Ibragim Eldjarkiev in January 2019, the source from the law enforcement bodies reported.
