Ramzan Kadyrov: pupils to wear masks in Chechen schools

In Chechnya, in the new academic year, schoolchildren will be required to come to classes wearing masks, the authorities of the republic report. Meanwhile, the Russian authorities did not require imposing the mask regime in schools. Some Instagram users and local residents note they would prefer distance learning for their children.

Earlier, some residents of Chechnya have reported that distance learning worsened the academic performance of their children.

In a report on the "Grozny" TV Channel, Idris Baisultanov, the Chechen Minister for Education and Science, has announced that in the new academic year, when visiting schools, children will be subjected to the measurements of temperature, all premises will be disinfected, and schoolchildren will also have to treat their hands with antiseptic.

Meanwhile, on Instagram, some users wrote in their comments that they found the mask regime in classroom an unnecessary measure. "Poor children, they'll get oxygen starvation if they have to spend half a day sitting at lessons in masks," wrote user lilya__29.

"Isn't it easier to keep kids home-schooled?" asked user lunniy____svet.

"Lessons last half a day, while a mask should be changed every two hours. Where do we get so many masks?" said Fatima, a resident of Grozny.

"I will leave my son at home. For me, his health state is the most important thing, and he can receive knowledge through distant learning," stated Shakhran, a resident of the republic.
