Activist holds a motor rally in support of Giorgi Guev in Vladikavkaz

Alan Zoloev drove through Vladikavkaz in a car with a poster reading: "I am / We are Giorgi Guev." The activist made stops in front of buildings of the regional FSB Department, the Palace of Justice and the government of North Ossetia. Instagram users approved the idea of the motor rally in support of Giorgi Guev, accused of financing terrorism.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 16, 2019, Giorgi Guev was detained in Moscow and arrested. On August 3, 2020, the Second Western District Military Court of Moscow began the consideration of a case on terrorism financing instituted against him. A prosecution witness declared Giorgi Guev was guilty, but after clarifying questions, she said that she knew nothing about him before his criminal prosecution.

In Vladikavkaz, Alan Zoloev held the motor rally in support of Giorgi Guev. The activist made stops in front of buildings of the regional FSB Department, the Palace of Justice and the government of North Ossetia. The activist posted a video of his protest action on Instagram. A poster with a photo and an inscription reading: "I am/ We are Giorgi Guev" can be noticed on a car door.

According to the activist, the purpose of his protest action was to draw attention to the Giorgi Guev's situation.

His situation is being hushed up, and officials "pretend that nothing is happening," states a post which accompanies the video.

The video was also posted on the chp_vladikavkaz page on Instagram. Social network users supported the protest action in support of Giorgi Guev. "I respect caring people. Well done, of course," user serras20 noted. "Freedom to Giorgi Guev! How long can this lawlessness continue?" user kupeeval33 wrote.
