Azerbaijan claims shelling of frontline villages

The positions of Azerbaijani troops in the Terter District are shelled by artillery; and at night, attacks were also delivered on dwelling settlements in the Karabakh conflict zone, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on October 26, a new agreement on a humanitarian truce in the Karabakh conflict zone entered into force, but already during the first hours after, the parties exchanged accusations of violating the truce.

Last night, the settlements and positions of Azerbaijani troops were shelled from various types of weapons, the country's MoD has stated. "At night on October 28, units of the Armenia Armed Forces, by breaking the humanitarian ceasefire regime, shelled positions of the Azerbaijani Army in various directions of the front, and the dwelling settlements located near the frontline from various types of weapons," says the press release of the Azerbaijani MoD sent today to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The fighting continued mainly in the Agdere (the Terter District of Nagorno-Karabakh, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"), Khojavend (the Martuni and Gadrut Districts of Nagorno-Karabakh, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"), Fizuli (the Gadrut and Martuni Districts of Nagorno-Karabakh, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"), Zangilan (the Kashatag District of Nagorno-Karabakh, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") and the Gubadli directions of the front, the MoD had noted.

In another message, the Azerbaijani MoD has stated that at about 7:30 a.m. (6:30 a.m. Moscow time) on October 28, the Terter District was subjected to artillery shelling.
