Ingush soldier killed at a military airfield near Voronezh

Soldier Mikail Aktaliev from the village of Ekazhevo located in the Nazran District of Ingushetia was among the three soldiers killed at a military airfield near Voronezh. A colleague of the killed soldiers who had escaped from a military unit was detained on suspicion of killing them.

This morning, the incident has taken place in the Voronezh Region. According to the investigators' version, a soldier killed an officer, seized his service weapon, and after that shelled his colleagues, two of whom were killed, and one was wounded, the Chief Military Investigating Department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reported.

A criminal case has been instituted against the soldier under the article on the murder of two or more persons and the theft of weapons, the ICRF's Chief Military Investigating Department reports on its website.

The number of the killed soldiers includes Mikail Aktaliev, a 23-year-old resident of the Nazran District of Ingushetia, the "Ingushetia" online newspaper reports with reference to its source. According to the source, relatives and friends of the deceased soldier left for the Voronezh Region to sort out the situation and transport his body to Ingushetia for burial at the ancestral cemetery according to religious customs.

The soldier suspected of the killing fled, but was later detained, the government of the Voronezh Region reports on its page in the social network "Vkontakte".
