Ingushetia: Imam's brother tells details of his detention

The persons who detained in Plievo Magomed-Sali Daurbekov, a former Imam of Karabulak, did not introduce themselves and tell to which power structure they belonged, but said that they found several cartridges during the search, said Magomed Daurbekov, an Imam's brother. Magomed-Sali Daurbekov was released after talking to law enforcers, a source has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 11, sources informed about the detention arrest of Magomed-Sali Daurbekov, a former Imam of Karabulak, and about the searches in his house in Plievo.

Magomed Daurbekov, an Imam's brother, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the law enforcers who came to Magomed-Sali's house had no insignia and failed to introduce themselves.

"We were all taken out of the house, and no one saw what was happening there," said the brother.

Magomed Daurbekov said that law enforcers announced that they had found some cartridges during the search.

Magomed-Sali Daurbekov was released "after a talk with law enforcement officials," the "Interfax" has stated today, citing its informed source, who also suggested that the detention of the former Imam had to do with the cases of moving of some parishioners of the mosque in Karabulak to Syria to participate in hostilities on the side of the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court.
