Russian MoD reports delivery of group of peacemakers to Armenia
The Russian military servicemen and equipment, which will be used in the peacemaking mission in the Karabakh conflict zone, have been transported to Yerevan in 20 aircrafts, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 10, the agreement signed by Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on the termination of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh came into force. Part of the territories of the unrecognized republic came under Azerbaijan's control. The Armenian population of the Karvachar (the Azerbaijani name is Kelbadjar) District began leaving for Armenia en masse. The Azerbaijani authorities agreed to extend, until November 25, the deadline for the withdrawal of Armenian troops along the only road to Armenia.
You can see the territories transferred to Azerbaijan under the terms of the peace agreement in the map prepared by the "Caucasian Knot". Also, the "Caucasian Knot" has posted the map of deployment of Russian peacemakers in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Another 18 Il-76 aircrafts and two An-124 "Ruslan" ones with Russian peacemakers and equipment have landed in Yerevan to participate in the peacemaking operation in the Karabakh conflict zone, says the website of the Russian MoD.
