Agdam District passes under Azerbaijan's control

The Azerbaijani Army has taken control over the territory of the Agdam District, the country's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated. The transfer of the city of Agdam to Azerbaijani militaries took place under the cover of Russian peacemakers, a local resident said.

The "Caucasian Knot" has drafted a map to show the territories that will pass over to Azerbaijan after the autumn war. Also, the "Caucasian Knot" has published a deployment map of the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 18, the administration of the Agdam District notified local residents about evacuation due to the transfer of its territory on November 20 under Azerbaijan's control. Also, six villages of the Martakert District will be transferred under the control of Baku, since they had belonged to the Agdam District under the earlier administrative division. Residents complained about the excessively short collection time; and the authorities said there was a lack of transport for evacuation.
