November battles and diversions in North Caucasus brought at least 38 casualties

From November 23 to 29, at least ten persons perished and five more wounded in the course of armed collisions and diversion acts in Chechnya, Dagestan, and Ingushetia. The Anti-War Club and the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" have obtained this data from analysis of publications of the RIA "Novosti," "Interfax," ITAR-TASS, "Caucasian Knot" and a number of other mass media.

Among those perished are five participants of illegal armed formations (IAFs) killed during the fights in the Chechen Republic and Dagestan (among them - Jordanian Abu Havs Al-Urduni); one serviceman of interior troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation who died in Chechnya; and two peaceful residents of Chechnya. Islam Oligov, 22, a resident of the town of Malgobek, Ingushetia, was killed at detainment by law enforcement officers, and an earlier amnestied former IAF member blown himself up in his VAZ-2107 car in Khasavyurt, Dagestan. Five servicemen were injured.
