Relatives of Abdullah Anzorov killed in France call him a victim of provocation
Abdullah Anzorov, who was shot dead by the police in France after murdering teacher Samuel Paty, was a God-fearing young man and was forced to react to the discussion of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, his relatives said in a TV report prepared and broadcasted by the "Grozny" state-run TV Company.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 5, the body of Chechen native Abdulak (Abdullah) Anzorov, who beheaded teacher Samuel Paty in the suburbs of Paris and was shot dead by the police after the murder, was taken to Chechnya and buried in the village of Shalazhi in the Urus-Martan District.
Late in the evening on December 7, the "Grozny" ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company) posted on its YouTube channel a TV report about the funeral of Abdullah Anzorov. The man fell victim to provocation, authors of the TV story explained. "Abdullah was a God-fearing young man and did not behave in any aggressive way, his relatives note. And no incident would have happened if it had not been for the open Islamophobic provocation and the pressure on the feelings of believers, people say here," a correspondent of the "Grozny" ChGTRK says in the TV report.
A similar opinion was expressed in the TV report by the Abdullah Anzorov's relatives, whose statements were translated from the Chechen language by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "Since his childhood, this guy observed religion traditions, performed namaz (prayer), and kept fasting. When they began to do those things (cartoons, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") against the Prophet Muhammad, tried to dishonour him, the guy could not bear that," said, in particular, Nurdi Anzorov, a relative of Abdullah Anzorov.
"If they had not provoked him, nothing would have happened. The incident happened because his heart ached for the prophet," Suleiman Anzorov, another relative of Abdullah, confirmed in the TV report.
