Over past 24 hours, more than 1100 refugees returned to Nagorno-Karabakh

Russian peacemakers have escorted over 36,000 refugees from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh, including 1136 over the past 24 hours, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that by December 7, the total number of returnees to Nagorno-Karabakh reached over 34,000.

Russian peacemakers have accompanied another convoy of buses with refugees from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh, the Russian MoD has reported. "Buses have brought 1136 people from Yerevan to Stepanakert," the MoD informed in the evening on December 8 in its website, adding that in total, more than 36,000 refugees have already returned to Nagorno-Karabakh.

During the past 24 hours, in Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian doctors rendered help to 39 patients, including five children. The peacemakers have deployed additional medical centres in Stepanakert (the Azerbaijani name is Khankendi), Khodjaly (the Armenian name is Ivanyan) and at the observation post in the Lachin Corridor, the MoD has noted in another message.
