Four Azerbaijani militaries arrested for crimes committed in Nagorno-Karabakh

Two junior warrant officers of the Azerbaijani Army have been accused of mocking the bodies of their enemies; and two soldiers – of desecrating graves, the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Azerbaijan has reported.

In the course of the autumn conflict escalation, Armenian and Azerbaijani military servicemen decapitated prisoners of war (POWs) and mocked enemies' bodies, experts of the Amnesty International (AI) have stated after examining videos from Karabakh.

The Azerbaijani GPO has treated most of the videos with "the insulting actions of Azerbaijani militaries against bodies of their Armenian counterparts" and "inappropriate treatment of POWs" as fakes. However, Arman Tatoyan, the Armenian Ombudsperson, insists that most of the videos are true.

According to the GPO, two soldiers have been arrested for destroying stone slabs on Armenian graves in a cemetery in the Khodjavend District.
