President of South Ossetia willing to meet Inal Djabiev's family

Relatives of deceased Inal Djabiev disagree with the results of a forensic examination, and that fact prevents the transfer of the criminal case to court, states Anatoly Bibilov, President of South Ossetia. The leader of the republic has also added that he will pay for the repeated forensic examination if the family has financial difficulties and will meet the relatives of Inal Djabiev at any time.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 4, the Inal Djabiev's relatives announced an indefinite protest action. They demand from the General Prosecutor's Office to carry out an effective investigation into the case on the Inal Djabiev's death after his detention by law enforcers.

Inal Djabiev was detained in a case on an assassination attempt on Interior Minister Igor Naniev. The detainee died on August 28. Photos of his body with signs of torture were posted on the Internet. The widow of Inal Djabiev refused to trust the results of the forensic examination, when the Prosecutor's Office voiced the cause of his death as heart failure against the background of the drug withdrawal.

Pyotr Gassiev, First Vice-Speaker of the South-Ossetian parliament, has called on the authorities to thoroughly investigate the death of Inal Djabiev and enter into a dialogue with his relatives.
