Investigators report details of CTO in Chechnya

Suspected militant Kazbek Baidulaev threw a grenade at law enforcers after they requested him to surrender. The suspect was killed by return fire, investigators reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 16, law enforcers conducted a counterterrorist operation (CTO) in the village of Katar-Yurt in the Achkhoi-Martan District of Chechnya. Suspected militant Kazbek Baidulaev was killed during the CTO. Meanwhile, his name had already been mentioned among those killed on October 11.

According to the investigators, during a special operation in the Achkhoi-Martan District of Chechnya, Kazbek Baidulaev threw a grenade at law enforcers when they were attempting to detain him and was killed by return fire.

Let us remind you that the special operation in the Achkhoi-Martan District became the third CTO in Chechnya since the early 2020. Earlier, a special operation was carried out in Grozny in October. Then law enforcers blocked a house in which, according to their information, suspected militants found a shelter. As a result of a shootout, four of the suspects, two fighters of the National Guard of Russia, and one policeman were killed.
