Dagestani woman sentenced to 3.5 years of imprisonment for contributing to terrorism

The Southern District Military Court found Imanat Razokhanova, a 25-year-old native of Dagestan, guilty of aiding and abetting in terrorist activities and sentenced her to 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment.

The investigators and the court suggest that in March and April 2018, the native of Dagestan received about 260,000 roubles on her bank card from a member of the "Islamic State" (IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"), whom the investigators consider to be an organizer of the financing of terrorism. Then, the woman transferred the money to other people under the instructions she received from the above-mentioned man, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the press service of the Southern District Military Court.

Today, the Southern District Military Court has found Imanat Razokhanova guilty of aiding and abetting terrorist activities and sentenced her to 3.5 years of imprisonment in common-security penal colony. "The verdict has not entered into legal force and can be challenged by the parties at the Military Court of Appeal," the press service of the Southern District Military Court reported.
