Karabakh rescuers find 20 dead bodies near Gadrut and Djabrail

Over 24 hours, rescuers of Nagorno-Karabakh found the bodies of 19 soldiers and one civilian, the spokesman for the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of Nagorno-Karabakh reports today. According to him, during the period since the beginning of the search, that is, from November 13, 2020, until January 2, 2021, inclusive, the rescuers found the bodies of 1175 soldiers and civilians, the "Sputnik Armenia" reports today. Thus, the total number of the dead bodies discovered has reached 1194.

The bodies of the deceased soldiers were found on the defensive line from the village of Karmrakuch to the city of Gadrut. On January 3, the rescuers also found a body of an elderly male civilian. "The body was discovered on the territory of the village of Karmrakuch in the Gadrut District. A forensic medical examination is to be carried out to understand whether the man got a fatal shrapnel wound or he was killed by the Turks (the Azerbaijani military personnel, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"). The body of the deceased civilian was found in a valley," reported Unan Tadevosyan as quoted by the "News" today.

According to the spokesman for the Nagorno-Karabakh MfE, the search for the dead bodies in the area of Gadrut, Djabrail, and Karmrakuch continues today, the "News" reports.
