Kadyrov ignores mask regime at meeting with coronavirus-infected MMA fighter

MMA fighter Khamzat Chimaev flew to Chechnya after he had cancelled a fight at the UFC tournament because of his positive COVID-19 test. However, according to posts on social networks, at the meetings with Khamzat Chimaev, Ramzan Kadyrov, other athletes, and relatives of the MMA fighter neglected the mask regime in force in the republic.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the mask regime is in force in Chechnya. On December 2, 2020, Magomed Daudov, the speaker of the Chechen Parliament, once again threatened residents of the republic with high fines for non-compliance with the coronavirus prevention measures.

On January 5, on his page in the social network "VKontakte", Ramzan Kadyrov announced the "gala reception" of Khamzat Chimaev.

The post is accompanied with a series of photos in which Ramzan Kadyrov is sitting at a set table, with Khamzat Chimaev sitting next to him, while other guests are also sitting at the table. The photos show that not a single participant of the gala reception wears a protective mask.
