Appearance of Azerbaijani militaries scares peasants of Nrnadzor village
Residents of the village of Nrnadzor cannot use about 200 hectares of gardens and pastures due to the proximity of Azerbaijani militaries, Armen Tatoyan, the Armenian Ombudsperson, has stated.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Azerbaijani militaries had occupied strategically important positions near the city of Kapan, the capital of the Syunik Region of Armenia, which triggered locals' protests. The Kapan-Agarak road has also come under Baku's control; and residents of three villages occurred in isolation.
Armenia treats the current delimitation as temporary and insists that the demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border can start only after establishment of diplomatic relations.
The Armenian Ombudsperson has called on the country authorities to address border villagers' problems and guarantee their right to security and free economic activity, the "News.am" reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has drafted a map to show the territories that will pass over to Azerbaijan after the autumn war. Also, the "Caucasian Knot" has published a deployment map of the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Let us remind you that on December 24, 2020, Azerbaijani officials made border demarcation in the village of Shurnukh, Syunik Region of Armenia, and demanded to transfer to Azerbaijan a part of the village with 12 houses. On January 4, local residents moved out; the owner of one of the houses was allowed to stay, but he refused to live a hundred meters from the border.
