Two Armenian rescuers injured after a mine explosion

Rescuers of the Armenian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) were taken to the Kapan hospital after they had been blown up by a mine near the town of Megri.

Members of a search team were injured in an explosion during search operations in the Syunik Region of Armenia, the "Panorama.am" reports today with reference to the Armenian MfE. Two rescuers were injured, the "Sputnik-Armenia" reports with reference to the country's MfE.

Artyom Shakhnazaryan, Captain of the Armenian MfE, and senior firefighter Aram Navasardyan, Corporal of the Armenian MfE, got injuries. Both rescuers received first aid at the Megri medical centre, and after that they were sent to the Kapan hospital, the "News-Armenia" newspaper reports today.

Let us remind you that on January 19, the eight dead bodies were found in the battlefield in the Karabakh conflict zone. By January 18, the total number of the dead bodies found in the field of the hostilities in the Karabakh conflict zone reached 1238.
