Yerevan marchers stand up for Pashinyan's opponent

At a protest action in Yerevan, several dozen people demanded Nikol Pashinyan's resignation and release of Vaan Badasyan, who was arrested for calling to execute the Armenian Premier.

Protesters treat Badasyan's arrest as political persecution, the "Sputnik Armenia" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Vaan Badasyan, the leader of the Karabakh "United Armenia" Party, was accused of calling for a violent change of the constitutional order.

After in November 2020, Nikol Pashinyan signed a peace agreement with Azerbaijan, supporters of the opposition began protests in Armenia demanding his resignation. The Premier himself only agreed to hold early parliamentary elections.
