Armenian opposition calls on students to join protest actions

Today, opposition supporters have held decentralized protest actions in Yerevan institutions of higher education. The protesters visited two educational institutions in Yerevan and called on students to join the protests.

The opposition supporters visited the Yerevan State University first. They walked through the floors of the building and called on lecturers and students to join the action of civil disobedience, the "Sputnik Armenia" reports today.

The security service of the Yerevan State University did not interfere with the opposition supporters' action, the "Interfax" reports today.

Then the opposition supporters approached the building of the Armenian State Economic University, but the university's gates were closed by the decision of the administration. The protesters tried to open the gate and go inside the building, but university security service and police pushed them back. As a result, the protesters entered the university through a door of one of the buildings and marched along the corridors. They were chanting slogans: "Nikol the traitor" and "Students, join us", the international news agency "News of Armenia" reports today.
