Umarov complains of shortage of funds on jihad in Chechnya

Chechen separatists are complaining of lack of finance. According to "Echo Moskvy" Radio, Dokku Umarov, leader of militants, has asserted the fact.

Mr. Umarov remarks that "restricted funds hamper to pursue the desire of thousands young people who wish to take part in jihad." Therefore, Umarov appealed to Russian Moslems "to finance jihad" and ensure the required supplies to the militants. The leader of Chechen separatists is also calling the Islam adepts to help in treating injured and sick militants.
