Urus-Martan woman publicly reprimanded for witchcraft
Law enforcers have detained Lipa Israilova, a 65-year-old resident of Urus-Martan, for providing occult services. After a public conversation with Adam Elzhurkaev, a doctor from the Centre of Islamic Medicine, she has partially admitted her guilt, the "Grozny" ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company) has informed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since July 2019, Chechen authorities have intensified persecution of republic's residents for occultism.
"Another 'witch' has been detained in the Chechen Republic. Law enforcers have detained Lipa Israilova, a resident of Urus-Martan. She is suspected of fraud, specifically, of providing occult services," the ChGTRK reported at night on April 15 on its Instagram page.
It has also posted a video, in which the above Adam Elzhurkaev is talking to an elderly woman. They stand near a table on which various objects are placed, including many sheets of paper covered with writing. "Prayers for all occasions; you can open a whole library with spells. It's even scary to be in this room; everything is saturated with witchcraft," the reporter of the "Grozny" ChGTRK has noted.
