Over 300 Stepanakert townspeople visit exhibition of lost Armenian monuments

The exhibition in Stepanakert presents photographs of 46 Armenian historical and cultural monuments that have remained in the territories transferred to Azerbaijan after the 2020 autumn war.

The photo show was organized at the Culture and Youth Palace in Stepanakert on the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and the State Service for the Protection of the Historical Environment of Nagorno-Karabakh, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The information about the Armenian historical and cultural monuments that are now in the territory controlled by Azerbaijan, which  were vandalized after the war has been gathered from photographs, videos and other materials placed on the Internet, Armine Airapetyan, Director of the above State Service, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to her story, about 2000 cultural monuments remain in the territories that are now under Baku's control. The exhibition shows 46 monuments in 51 photographs, in which they look like they did before the 2020 war, Ms Airapetyan has explained.

The administration of the above Stepanakert Palace has reported that the exhibition, which opened on April 24, has already been visited by about 300 people.
