In Dagestan, dilapidated school closed after intervention of Prosecutor’s Office
The Prosecutor’s Office for the Tsuntinsky District ordered to close the dilapidated school building in the Dagestani village of Khutrakh and transfer schoolchildren to temporary lessons in the buildings of the obstetric station and kindergarten.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) instituted a criminal case after a report about the work of the dilapidated school in the Khutrakh village in the Tsuntinsky District on the air of the “Ren-TV” Channel. Schoolchildren enter the school at risk being left under the rubble of the dilapidated building, the “Ren-TV” Channel reports.
On April 30, the dilapidated school in the Tsuntinsky District was closed at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office. The educational process will be continued in the buildings of the obstetric station and the kindergarten, while the local authorities are looking for premises for rent to accommodate the local school, the weekly newspaper “Chernovik” (Rough Draft) reports today with reference to Magomedramazan Abdulkerimov, the deputy chairman of the Public Chamber for the Tsuntinsky District.
The building of the obstetric station is also in disrepair, while the kindergarten, which was built in 2019, has not yet been commissioned due to a violation of construction technology. The nearest school, which is located in the village of Kitlyarata, is about seven kilometres away. Meanwhile, the road to the village is also in disrepair, like the building of the educational institution itself, Magomedramazan Abdulkerimov adds.
