“Project” loses its Instagram page after a post about Kadyrov
The “Project” online edition’s account on Instagram has been assigned the status of a deceased person. Journalists associate the incident with the people who are dissatisfied with the edition’s investigation into the activities of the persons affiliated with Ramzan Kadyrov.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on April 7, the “Project” independent online edition posted the article prepared by journalists Maria Zholobova and Roman Badanin and entitled “An investigation into how Russia has got its own sultanate”. According to the article, Fatima Khazueva, a finalist of the beauty contest, who enjoys the favour of Ramzan Kadyrov, owns a luxurious mansion in the centre of Grozny. Along with the wife of the leader of Chechnya, Fatima Khazueva also owns apartments in elite residential complexes in Moscow, the article reports.
The “Project” online edition has lost the ability to post publications on its Instagram account. “We were ‘buried.’ This morning we got a message that the ‘Project' edition’s Instagram account has been assigned the status of a deceased person. That is, someone provided the social media site with some confirmation of our death (how could that be possible?). We also wrote an appeal to the Instagram administration, but so far the attackers have achieved their goal: we cannot post anything on our page,” states a message posted on the “Project” edition’s Telegram channel.
According to the “Project” edition’s team, the attempts to interfere with Instagram posts are a reaction to the edition’s investigation into the Ramzan Kadyrov’s associates. “They even complained about us on TikTok, but the story with Instagram is beyond any common sense,” summed up the team of the “Project” online edition.
