Volgograd activist holds picket in support of Navalny

In Volgograd, Vladimir Telpuk, an activist, went out to a picket demanding to release Alexei Navalny from colony.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Volgograd activists are regularly holding solo pickets. On May 1, Galina Tikhenko, Vladimir Telpuk, Galina Zabolotneva and Vladimir Vasilchenko noted during their pickets that in Russia, activists, lawyers, journalists, municipal deputies were persecuted, while Alexei Navalny's fight against corruption is treated as extremism.

On May 9, Vladimir Telpuk held a solo picket in the Heroes' Alley in the Tsentralny District of Volgograd.

"I stand for the release of Alexei Navalny, a political prisoner. He is kept in jail for the truth he told about corrupt authorities. This is unacceptable. The truth should not be imprisoned, but awarded," Vladimir Telpuk told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
