Three persons detained at a Pashinyan’s meeting with voters

During a rally organized by the “Civil Contract” Party with participation of Nikol Pashinyan in the Armavir Region, several people were detained, including one of them detained under the article on obstructing the campaigning and beaten, sources reported.

Today, the Armenian authorities and opposition have started their pre-election campaign. The Nikol Pashinyan’s “Civil Contract” Party goes to the elections alone. The party launched its pre-election campaign in the city of Echmiadzin.

One of the citizens was detained under the article on “obstructing the campaigning” for shouting: “Nikol, traitor!” during the Nikol Pashinyan’s rally, the “News.Am” reports today with reference to Ruben Melikyan, the leader of the “Legal Way” public organization.

After the man shouted the above phrase, he tried to run away. At least ten people in uniform and civilian clothes chased him. According to eyewitnesses, the man was beaten, then forced into a car and taken away from the place to some unknown destination, the “Panorama” reports today.

Two other persons have been detained under the administrative article on “disobeying the lawful request of law enforcement bodies,” the “Panorama” reports with reference to the police.
