Kadyrov sets out to vaccinate everyone in Chechnya against COVID

Absolutely all the adults in Chechnya must be vaccinated against coronavirus, Ramzan Kadyrov has stated amid the human rights defenders' report about the massive coercion of republic's residents to get vaccinated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that back on June 16, the head of Chechnya threatened to impose severe restrictions on coronavirus if the vaccination rate remained low. Since July 9, unvaccinated residents of Chechnya are prohibited from visiting mosques. In Chechnya, it is impossible even to buy bread without vaccination certificates, local residents have complained.

It is planned to vaccinate 100 percent of adults residents of the republic, Kadyrov has stated, the "Chechnya Today" has written.

Earlier, Mikhail Murashko, the Russia's Minister of Public Health put forward the target to vaccinate 60% of Russians.

In terms of the rate of primary vaccination against coronavirus, Chechnya ranks third among Russian regions, the RBC (RosBiznesConsulting) has informed. In Chechnya, as of July 22, 36.1% of the population has already received at least one vaccination.

Let us remind you that residents of Chechnya have repeatedly criticized officials for double standards in coronavirus prevention, since Kadyrov and his entourage ignored the mask regime, while residents of the republic were forced to comply with it.
