Nagorno-Karabakh claims Azerbaijanis’ attack on contact line

Today, the Azerbaijani armed forces have tried to break through the line of contact of the troops, but the Defence Army threw them back to their initial positions, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh reports.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on August 9, the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh accused Azerbaijan of shelling attacks from its positions in Shusha (the Armenian name is Shushi, – note of the “Caucasian Knot”) and of an attack using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on August 11. In turn, Baku claimed that Yerevan violated the ceasefire agreement of November 10, 2020. Armenia is transferring its soldiers to the territory where the Russian peacekeepers are deployed, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence claims.

Today, the Azerbaijani military units have tried to cross the line of contact with the Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army, but have been thrown back, the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh reports. The Nagorno-Karabakh military officials report no casualties and note that the incident has been reported to the leaders of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, the “News-Armenia” reports.
