Dagestani resident detained for manufacturing firearms
In a back room in a house of a 67-year-old resident of the village of Novy Chirkei in the Kizilyurt District, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan discovered a workshop for converting civilian firearms into combat ones.
The police found special equipment and machine tools, two grenades, a home-made pistol, a home-made revolver, and a large number of spare parts and ammunition for the found firearms, the MIA for Dagestan reports on its website today.
The villager was taken to the police. Criminal cases are instituted against him under articles on the illegal manufacture and circulation of weapons and explosive devices.
The “Caucasian Knot” has also reported that on March 3, the police discovered an underground arms workshop in a house of a 62-year-old resident of the Kaitag District of Dagestan.
