Nina Tseretilova accuses her ex-husband of beating

Nina Tseretilova, a resident of Dagestan, has stated that her ex-husband and his parents had beaten her up, when she came to them in Buynaksk to see the children. The woman turned to the police. In his turn, Magomed Tseretilov, her ex-husband, claimed that Nina had attacked his parents.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 24, 2021, the Supreme Court (SC) of Dagestan ruled in Nina's favour, who challenged her ex-husband's right to custody over their children. On July 16, a Makhachkala court satisfied Nina Tseretilova's claim to restrict her ex-husband, Magomed, in his parental rights. In late July, court marshals arrived at the house of Magomed Tseretilov in Buynaksk to enforce the court judgement and transfer the children to the mother, but the procedure failed due to the court marshals' inaction.

On August 19, Magomed, Nina Tseretilova's ex-husband, and his parents beat her up, when she came to them in Buynaksk, Nina herself has stated.

"First he (Magomed) attacked me, threw me down the stairs; and then his parents kicked me out of the door," Nina Tseretilova said in a story posted in her Instagram page. "Magomed's father kicked me and then tore my shirt to say that it was me who had attacked him," Nina has written.

She called the police and an ambulance.

Magomed Tseretilov accused his ex-wife of the attack. "Today, at the house of my parents, where I and my children were at that moment, under the guise of a doctor, Nina Tseretilova attacked and started a brawl (...). Nina hit my mother, scratched (her) face, and tore my father's shirt," he wrote in stories in his Instagram page. According to his version, Nina was "isolated by the police." "Now, she is in hospital and is carefully searching for traces of beatings under a microscope," the ex-husband has written.

  • Compensation decrease for illegal prosecution violates rights of KBR resident

The court ruling, which awarded Madin Gubzhokov compensation of 30,000 roubles for unlawful criminal prosecution, is incomparable with the moral harm caused by the actions of Azamat Kyaov, a former law enforcer. The amount is ridiculous and should be appealed against, lawyers and human rights defenders have stated.
