"Voice of Beslan" asks to account for the opinion of the Moslems who suffered in the terror act

Emma Tagaeva-Betrozova, Chair of the "Voice of Beslan" North-Ossetian NGO of the terror act victims, is calling "to take into account the opinions of the Moslems who suffered in Beslan tragedy."

"We respect Christianity, but we also demand our feelings to be respected anywhere and everywhere. And why Moslems should suffer because somebody tries to ascribe their lost Moslem children to Christians?" Ms. Tagaeva-Betrozova asked in her letter to Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia (CMR), published today in the CMR's web site, the "Interfax" informs.

"After such disaster, it's a great mistake to scale up opposition of religions. They were not Moslems who killed our children, but criminals of different nationalities," E. Tagaeva-Betrozova has declared.

The Newsru.com reminds that right after Beslan tragedy, Theophan, Bishop for Stavropol and Vladikavkaz, suggested to erect an Orthodox temple in the place of the ruined school to memorize the victims of the tragedy. However, Ravil Gainutdin, CMR Chairman, voiced against building a temple of any single religion in the place of mass massacre.
