South Ossetia will bring custody conditions close to world standards
A complex work to improve custody conditions will be implemented in South Ossetia. To this end, President of the Republic of South Ossetia (RSO) Eduard Kokoity spoke in favour of close coordination of the efforts of all the respective agencies. He has emphasized that any delays in solving the problems are inadmissible and called them to act initiatively and proactively.
The decision to improve custody arrangements of the inmates at the Corrective Colony of the Department for Penalty Enforcement (DPE) under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of South Ossetia was made at the meeting of RSO President Eduard Kokoity with the Republic's Minister of Justice Merab Chigoev, Ombudsman under RSO President David Sanakoev and Valentin Gobosov, head of UIK-1 (Corrective Colony) of the DPE. The information was reported to the "Caucasian Knot" at the Ministry of Justice of South Ossetia.
During the meeting, President Kokoity heard the information on the custody conditions of the inmates of the Tskhinval UIK-1. Mr. Chigoev informed the leader of the Republic about the state of the problem and possible solution alternatives.
