Kadyrov urges to punish those responsible for the hype around attack in New Moscow

The special services must find the provocateurs, who had mistakenly treated the participants in the resonant attack on the man with a child as natives of Northern Caucasus, Ramzan Kadyrov has stated. Sultan Khamzaev, a State Duma MP from Dagestan, has suggested introducing a ban on the revealing in media the nationality of suspects and convicts.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the "Novaya Moskva" (New Moscow) Moscow district, a group of people had beat up two men, one of whom was carrying a small child in his hands. Sources claimed that the attackers were from the Caucasus.

All the four attackers of the father with the child turned out to be natives of Transcaucasia, the press service of the Moscow branch of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has explained, adding that three of them received Russian citizenship in 2012.

The head of Chechnya has called on to stop unjustified attacks on residents of the Caucasus on the Internet, so as not to offend the national and religious feelings of millions of Russian citizens. According to Mr Kadyrov, "in a couple of days, the entire Internet was flooded with statements about the inappropriate behaviour of all the Caucasians without exception."

According to his observations, not a single media outlet has apologized for disseminating false information that the attackers in New Moscow were natives from Northern Caucasus. The head of Chechnya believes that such publications are undermining the country's unity.
