Court arrests those accused of attacking man with child in New Moscow

Three residents of Russia and one citizen of Azerbaijan have been arrested within the resonant conflict that occurred in the "Novye Vatutinki" neighbourhood in Moscow, which was re-qualified into an attempted murder.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the evening on November 4, in "Novaya Moskva" (New Moscow) district, a group of four persons beat up two men, one of whom was carrying a small child. "By their actions, the case figurants created a threat to the life and health of the young child," investigators have emphasized.

The four detainees under the above case have been charged with an attempted murder of two persons and a minor by a group of persons under a prior conspiracy. The court has arrested them until January 5, 2022, the Moscow City Prosecutor's Office has informed.

Araz Musaev, 18, Eldjan Gasanov, 21, and Faramaz Gasanov, 19, have been arrested and placed behind bars, as well as a minor, who was also involved in the attack, the "Interfax" has reported today with reference to the press service of the court.

One of the detainees has come from Azerbaijan; the others received Russian citizenship more than nine years ago, said Vladimir Vesenin, the head of the press service of the Chief Department for Moscow of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

Shamil Tagiev, the head of the Azerbaijani community in Moscow, has joined the calls not to indicate the criminals' nationality. "The young men are Russian citizens and have nothing to do with Azerbaijan. Stating that they are Azerbaijanis; they've come here en masse and only commit crimes, bringing no other benefits, won't bring anything good. We condemn this act regardless of their nationality," the "Gazeta.ru" has quoted Mr Tagiev as saying.
