Soldier perishes in Nagorno-Karabakh

Under unclear circumstances, a contract soldier, Gor Martirosyan, received a fatal gunshot wound, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh has reported.

The soldier was killed in Nagorno-Karabakh late in the evening on December 5.

Soldier Gor Martirosyan, born in 2002, was mortally wounded in the defence sector of one of the military units of Nagorno-Karabakh, the "News-Armenia" writes with reference to the press service of the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to the MoD, the soldier received his wound under unclear circumstances, an investigation is underway, the "news.am" informs.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on November 22, the Armenian MoD announced the death of a soldier after a shootout in the Gegarkunik Region. In its turn, the Azerbaijani MoD reported that it did not open fire in the aforesaid direction. On November 20, an Armenian soldier was killed in the Gegarkunik Region, who, as noted by the MoD, had violated the rules for handling firearms.
