Bloggers and activists have called on all those not indifferent to take part in the action "Chechen lives matter" dedicated to human rights violations in Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 7, Russian and international human rights organizations demanded from the Russian president to do everything possible to stop repressions in Chechnya, ensure an investigation of human rights violations committed by Chechen authorities and bring all those responsible to justice.

On December 22-24, critics of Chechen authorities, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, Minkail Malizaev and Khasan Khalitov, reported about kidnappings of their relatives living in Chechnya; it was also reported about kidnappings of relatives of Mansur Sadulaev, the founder of the "Vayfond" Association, and Aslan Artsuev, the director of the human rights organization "Human Rights Centre Ichkeria". On January 8, an action against mass kidnappings and illegal detentions in Chechnya will take place in front of the building of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, the NGO "Vayfond" has reported, urging all who are not indifferent to come to the rally.

A video was posted on the YouTube "Nizam Channel" of the blogger, Anzor Maskhadov, in which he invites the bloggers who emigrated from Chechnya to take part in the action. "In Chechnya, women, minors, children, the elderly and the disabled have been taken hostage. [...] They are subjected to violence, torture and pressure. All of them are innocent people," the blogger. "For more than two weeks, dozens of women and children have been held captive [...]. Nothing is known about their fate," the blogger, Khasan Khalitov, has added.

"We support the action 'Chechen lives matter', organized on behalf of the Chechen people," the blogger, Mokhmad Abdurakhmanov, has stated and called on all those who are not indifferent to support the action.
