Power agents from Beslan can be amnestied
The case of the three heads of the Pravoberezhny ROVD, accused of criminal negligence that has entailed mass death of people during the terror act in School No. 1 of Beslan, can be stopped under the amnesty declared by the State Duma. On May 10, the defendants lodged a respective petition, and they were unexpectedly supported by the representative of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Russia, the "Kommersant" writes.
The defendants and their advocates have submitted a petition with a request to stop this criminal case, since its figurants fall under the decision of the State Duma of the Russian Federation passed on September 22, 2006, "On Announcement of Amnesty Concerning the Persons Who Committed Crimes in the Process of Counterterrorist Operation in the South Federal District."
Yesterday, Beslan women with posters in hands running "Beslan tragedy is beyond amnesty!", "Terrorists' helpers are terrorists themselves," "FSB and MIA are responsible for the act of terror" held a small meeting in protest against amnesty.
