Leyla Chemurzieva from Ingushetia detained

Masked law enforcers broke into the home of Leyla Chemurzieva, a resident of the city of Nazran, and took her away to some unknown place. An improvised explosive device (IED) was planted on Leyla, her sister insists.

According to a source, Ingush law enforcers found an IED at the residence of an earlier convicted local woman, after which she was detained.

Back in 2016, Leyla was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison for participating in an illegal armed formation (IAF); she was the widow of one of the liquidated militants and helped the bandits, acting as a liaison and recruited girls, the source has informed.

Zarifa, Leyla's sister, said that Leyla lived with her mother and four children.

"I think that her abduction has to do with her time in prison. The IED was planted into her car and she was accused of illegal possession thereof. My sister had been framed earlier; and now they want to do something to her again," Zarifa has stated, adding that Leyla was released from colony six months ago.
