Number of activists detained in Armenia rises to 364

Detained opposition supporters are suspected of failure to obey lawful demands of the police.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that 414 people were detained in Yerevan during the protest actions on May 17. The “Resistance” opposition movement began collecting signatures under a petition demanding the release of public and political figures detained at peaceful rallies. Today, the protest actions have continued, and the opposition has begun to block the streets and traffic in Yerevan.

Metro stations in Yerevan are operating normally, the press service of the metro reports.
