In accordance with federal grogram ?Children of Russia? program ?Disabled Children? was developed in Karachaevo-Cherkessia

In accordance with the federal program ?Children of Russia? a program ?Disabled Children? for the years of 2002-2004 was developed in the republic. By now the ministry of labor and social development is in the center of program realization.

Having enlisted the support both of the federal and republican budgets, the ministry started to help disabled children a year and a half ago. With administrations of towns and regions, the fund of social support and different sponsors attached to work social officers managed to fulfill the designed plan.

Also in the last year and a half holidays with presents were arranged for children on New Year?s Day, Mother?s and Children?s Days. Families of invalids got 50% reduction for public utilities payments. And about 1000 children were sent for sanatorium-and-spa treatment.
