Armenia does not believe in complete disclosure of Hrant Dink's murder

So far, the history of Turkey has lacked examples of complete disclosure of political murders, the same applies to the trial on the murder case of Hrant Dink, editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Akos." This opinion was expressed by Arsen Avagyan, Armenian historian and candidate of historical sciences:

"I share the opinion of some political scientists who assert that Dink was assassinated because he was an Armenian and a democrat."

The "Caucasian Knot" has already reported that on July 2 the first hearing took place at the Court of Istanbul of Hrant Dink's murder case. The trial of 18 defendants lasted for about 12 hours. For 12 of them, the custody was chosen to be the freedom restriction measure.

The public prosecutor demands life imprisonment for the organizers and customers of the crime, and for its performers - from 7.5 to 30 years behind the bars. As to the killer of the Armenian journalist - Ogyun Samast, who is under 18, the prosecution demands 16-24 years of imprisonment on accusations of "committing Hrant Dink's murder" and "membership in a criminal grouping and illegal bearing of the arms."

Under the decision of the Istanbul Court, the second judicial session on the case was appointed on October 1.

We remind you that the editor-in-chief of the Armenian weekly magazine "Akos" published in Istanbul in the Turkish language Hrant Dink was killed on January 19 in Istanbul.
