Gadjiev’s colleagues hold solo pickets in Makhachkala

In Makhachkala, during two solo pickets, Dagestani journalists demanded to stop the criminal prosecution of Abdulmumin Gadjiev and release political prisoners.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that colleagues of Abdulmumin Gadjiev regularly hold solo pickets in support of him at the intersection of Gamzatov and Dakhadaev Streets in the centre of Makhachkala. The picketers also demand to stop persecution of journalists and release political prisoners.

Abdulmumin Gadjiev, a journalist of the "Chernovik" (Draft) outlet, as well as Abubakar Rizvanov, the head of the "Ansar" charity fund, and Kemal Tambiev are accused of financing terrorism. Gadjiev insists on his innocence, while his colleagues treat his prosecution as pressure on him.

Today, Abdulmumin Gadjiev’s colleagues have held two solo pickets at the intersection of Gamzatov and Dakhadaev Streets, not far from the complex of buildings of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the FSB Department for Dagestan, the weekly newspaper “Chernovik” (Rough Draft) reports in its Telegram channel.

“Our demands to the authorities remain the same: freedom for Abdulmumin Gadjiev! Termination of the absurd, based on lies and fantasies, criminal case instituted against our colleague!” one of the posts reports.
