Authorities announce version about drone attack on refinery in Novoshakhtinsk

The operation of an oil refinery in Novoshakhtinsk was stopped after a fire, and fragments of two drones were discovered at the enterprise, the Governor of the Rostov Region reports today.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that today, the publication “Bloknot Rostova-na-Donu” (Rostov-on-Don Notebook) released a video showing a drone flying over the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery. Then the drone crashes into the refinery, the sound of an explosion is heard, and a column of smoke appears.

According to one version, the fire at the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery arose after the attack of two drones, Governor of the Rostov Region Vasily Golubev reports today. “Fragments of two drones were found on the territory of the refinery," the Governor says.

Vasily Golubev confirmed that there were no casualties. The staff was evacuated, and the operation of the refinery was suspended, the Governor of the Rostov Region wrote in his Telegram channel.
