Statement about MoD's vacancies reveals Kadyrov's plans to improve Chechen grouping
The words of the head of Chechnya about 3000 vacancies in the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) mean that he plans to find new people for his formations, Alexander Khramchikhin, an expert, believes. The above Kadyrov's statement reveals his plans to invest heavily in strengthening his military grouping, Alexander Artamonov believes.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 26, Kadyrov announced that four MoD's battalions would be formed in Chechnya: "North-Akhmat", "South-Akhmat", "West-Akhmat" and "East-Akhmat", which would consist of "exclusively Chechen guys."
Alexander Artamonov, a military expert, believes that Kadyrov plans to seriously strengthen his military grouping and "implies the purchase of equipment and the provision of military units, and the deployment of bases to house them."
The formation in Chechnya of military units subordinate to the Russian MoD indicates that Kadyrov has acquired the status of a federal-level politician, Alexei Malashenko has pointed out earlier. The formation of new battalions was entrusted to Kadyrov, since it is very difficult to recruit people for the special operation in Russian regions, and Chechnya has already such experience, Ruslan Kutaev has explained. Kadyrov is demonstrating his loyalty to President Vladimir Putin in the hope of acquiring additional powers, analysts have noted.
